Abstract landscape. I started painting on this 12x12 panel years ago and had it hanging in my living room for quite awhile. It was something that just blended in and honestly was boring. One day I decided it needed a new life. So I painted over it while allowing some of the original textures and colors to emerge from the original version (which on its own already had several layers!). I love the depth of textures here and the sense of place that can be conjured up by the viewer. For me it could be a marsh, a bay, a river, or the coast. What do you see?
