Abstract skyscape. This piece is part of a series I've entitled "Renewal". Originally painted as a large watercolor landscape that was uninspiring and unfinished, I decided to switch directions. On top of the watercolor, I added layers of acrylic and colored pencil, scribbles and scratches, and then cut up the larger painting to discover several smaller compositions that were reminiscent of the coastal scenes I love so much.
